Man arrested in Lainya for killing wife

Authorities in Lainya County have arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife in Juba.

The suspect is said to have killed the wife in Juba and was on the run in Lainya. He got arrested on the way.

According to Lainya Commissioner, Emmanuel Khamis Richard,  the suspect, John Lomoro Cosmas is from Mukaya Payam of Lainya County and his wife Agnes Unjima was Katigiri Boma of Wonduruba Payam.

Lomoro has three children with the deceased.

“Reasons for him killing the wife is unknown and will be established during the investigation process. The government of Lainya is to back up our security apparatus in Juba because this person committed a crime and escaped. So, we caught him and we shall return him to the authorities in Juba,” Khamis said.

He said he invited the relatives of the deceased to witness that the suspect was arrested and handed to the police

“I also informed the relatives of the suspect to also know that their relative has committed murder case against his wife has been arrested by the government and under police custody at the western police division in Gudele at Kuburi Habuba,” Khamis said.

He hailed the security forces in Lainya County for responding quickly after they were notified about the murder suspect.
