As fortune continues to follow traffic police officer George Kenyi for his professional service delivery to citizens, Trinity Energy Limited offered education scholarship to the kin Samuel Kenyi Lemi.
In the certificate of sponsorship seen by The City Review, the company will sponsor the son from his current primary academic stage till the completion of tertiary education.
“This certificate of sponsorship is hereby awarded to pupil Samuel Kenyi Lemi by Trinity Energy Ltd as our commitment to sponsor his education in recognition of the commendable work demonstrated by his guardian Mr. George Kenyi Ladu, a Traffic Marshall who serves motorists and the public at Seventh Day Roundabout with dedication,” read statement on the certificate signed by the company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Akol Ayii and Chief Executive Officer Robert Mdeza.
Citizens expressed gratitude to Trinity Energy for acknowledging and rewarding Kenyi, with many saying it would serve as a motivating factor to people within the public service sector.
“Bundles have never been in vain. Honesty and dedication to profession always pays. This is the South Sudan we want where hard work is rewarded. Thanks to Trinity Energy Ltd,” tweeted Korenilo Junior, a student pursuing MSc in Security and Strategic Studies at Juba University.
Commenting on the same development, Adhieu Majok, a political analyst and a member of Young African Leaders’ Initiative (YALI) said “That’s nice”.
Many citizens have been great admirers of Kenyi, who has become the new South Sudan traffic sensation in executing his duties.
Even under tumultuous, dark, ragged clouds in a very cold and wet morning with a brisk of wind sweeping the rain, Kenyi, a tincture of a young, dark man in a heavy black coat, white shirt, and dark-blue trouser has executed his duty with diligence.
Trinity Energy, the recipient of Quality Award for Best Oil Marketing Company in the country from 2015 to 2019 according to the South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, is not the first to reward the traffic cop.
Kenyi has also won the hearts and sympathies of motorists who ply along the intersection to Bilpam – Gudele – Airport – Customs for beckoning operations in an organized traffic fashion even when soaked in heavy showers under the open sky with no umbrella or stoplights to ease his work.
Motorists and members of the community have massively rewarded Kenyi with goats and various forms of gift with others calling for his elevation to a higher ranking position within the police, all in the recognition of the sterling services.
