Netherlands have parted ways with national team head coach Frank de Boer following their premature Euro exit in the hands of resilient Czechs on Sunday.
De Boer, who is enjoys a formidable following due to his stint as a player for the Oranje, announced that he was stepping down from his role.
The former Inter Milan and Crystal Palace coach is yet to provide an expansive statement on his exit.
The Dutch lost 2-0 against the resolute Czech Republic in round 16 of the Euro 2020 tournament. Goals from Tomas Holes and Patrick Schick ensured victory for the Czech Republic against the 10-man Netherlands. Belgium will now play against Italy in the quarterfinal of the tournament later this week.
