Belgium, Italy lock horns in Euro quarters as Spain takes on Switzerland

After the drama-filled round 16 knockout stage of the Euro 2020, the focus now shifts to the quarterfinal where two fixtures promise make-or-break mouthwatering clashes. In the first fixture, to be played in St Petersburg Stadium in Russia, Spain squares it with Switzerland. Spain thrashed Croatia 5-3 in a match that was decided on the extra time thanks to strikes by Alvaro Morata and Mikel Oyarzabal. Switzerland dumped France after staging a feisty performance which saw them equalise to make the scores 3-3 on regular time before ending in a spot kick, which they won. Belgium, which escorted Portugal back to the plain with a solitary goal, will equally be up in arms against record-breaking Italy who overcame a resilient Austrian side. While Italians have no squad doubts, and are raring to go like a fully-fueled racing car, Belgium is sweating over the match fitness of Kevin Debruyne and skipper Eden Hazard. The match will be played in Football Arena, Munich, Germany. Winners from both ties will square it up on the semifinal of the tournament.
