SSPDF probes morning Bilpham shootout

The South Sudan People’s Defence Force (SSPDF) has revealed that it is investigating an incident where two military officers clashed and injured each other in a shootout Tuesday morning at Bilpham.
The SSPDF was however quick to highlight that the incident was an isolated case that needs to be treated as such.
Maj. Gen. Lul Ruai told the City Review on a phone interview that Lt. Gen Peter Dor had a disagreement with his bodyguard, where the duo fought and sustained injuries, necessitating their admission to the hospital.
“I think they had of exchange of words and as a result they shot at each other and in the process the general was wounded and his bodyguard was wounded as well,’’ he said.
“Both of them sustained gunshot wounds and they are still at Juba Military Hospital,’’ he further said, adding that investigations are underway to unearth the causes of the disagreement between the two.
