The post read: ‘‘His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his accompanying delegation returned home, this afternoon 13th May 2021 from Kampala Uganda, after attending the swearing-in ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

‘‘At the sideline after the inauguration ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit, met with the President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, Member of Sudan Transitional Sovereign Council Malik Agar and the Secretary General of East African Community Dr. Peter Mathuki.

The president travelled with the Minister of Presidential Affairs Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Beatrice Khamisa Wani, Director General of General Intelligence Bureau Gen. Museveni took oath of office yesterday pursuant to his win in the controversial January 2021 election where he garnered 58 per cent of the votes.

The opposition, led by NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi, has maintained the poll was rigged by state security forces.
