A South Sudanese reggae and dancehall artist and producer who is known by his stage name “Dynamq” is set to record South Sudan’s national team theme song after being appointed as federation ambassador.

Over the weekend, Joseph Archangelo Apai, SSFA Deputy Secretary-General, revealed that the management appointed the singer as its ambassador.

“Yes, the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) management has officially announced Dynamq as its ambassador. Dynamq is expected to record the national team’s theme song. He will soon work on the National Team Project, ” he said.

“Dynamq, is well known for his meaningful, educative, and peace songs. We are proud to have him as our ambassador, and hopefully, he is going to do a lot in such a way that the SSFA will be better known [given that he is known outside].”

Dynamq, whose real name is Kennedy Lorya, said he was privileged to get the appointment and promised to take up the challenge.

According to him, the launch of Juba Stadium is nearing and his appointment comes at the right time, which will allow him to record the ceremony’s national team theme song.

“Truly honoured to be the Ambassador for the South Sudan Football Association. The new stadium’s opening ceremony is around the corner and will be attended by the FIFA President, ” he expressed.

The singer gave an assurance that he would compose the South Sudan national football team theme song, although he was still unsure about whom he could feature in the song.

“I am recording a national team theme song while here in Juba. Which artists should I feature in this big project? ” he questioned. Producer Dynamq is currently in Juba after a two-day event.
