Kane, Sigurdsson star in Spurs-Everton draw

Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane and Everton captain Gylfi Sigurdsson starred in a 2-2 draw as two English Premier League sides shared spoils yesterday.

The match, which was played on Friday night, featured high stakes where both teams battled for three points to redeem their chase for Uefa Champions League football.

It was Tottenham Hotspurs that struck first as Harry Kane bumped on a loose ball from the Everton defence, which failed to properly mark the English captain.

A few minutes later Sergio Reguilon brought down James Rodriguez after the Colombian received a fine cut back from Sigurdsson, forcing referee Michael Oliver to point to the spot.

Gylfi Sigurdsson then stepped up with a fine spot kick against Hugo Lloris to level up scores.

In the second half, Sigurdsson hit a fine volley from inside the box after getting a cross from Rodriguez to give Toffees the lead. The Lilywhites recovered after Kane finished from the 18-yard box making it 2-2. The two teams shared the spoils.
