Man City tightens grip on EPL title with West Ham win

Manchester City have tightened their grip on the EPL title after strolling to a slim 2-1 victory over West Ham United at the Etihad.
Ruben Dias opened the scoresheet for the hosts in the 30th minute but the lead was short-lived after Michail Antonio chipped in with an equaliser on the 43rd minute before the half-hour mark. John Stones then converted a pass from Riyad Mahrez to restore the lead which ensured victory for the league leaders.
The Blues now have 62 points after the win against the Hammers, and they also boast a commanding 12-point gap ahead of second-placed rivals Manchester United who play Chelsea tomorrow.
The Hammers remain fourth on the log with 45 points. Should Chelsea win over the Red Devils tomorrow, they will surpass West Ham by a point.
The Red Devils on the other hand have an opportunity to cut Man City’s lead to nine points if they pull a win against the Londoners.
