The new normal; how our lives will be controlled by algorithms

COVID-19 has earned itself a name in all the annals of human history. The year 2019 and 2020 will be remembered as a time when the world came to a standstill 100 years later after the Spanish flu of 1920. Funny though how we all looked at COVID-19 in Wuhan China as though it was just another Sci-Fi movie without knowing we will all be actors in the movie.
What’s more amazing is that the COVID has 19, 19 is AI on the Alphabet – what a coincidence, or is it? Maybe ask Google that is owned by Alphabet.
Now I agree with Bro Suli – we went to sleep and we will wake up in another world where Google doesn’t have the answers we are searching for, like how long will COVID-19 be around? Who created it? Is my business going to last? Will I get my job back after all this?
A world where we are begging for Microsoft to sell us that antivirus, Suli went on to say even Alexa was speechless. If your family has billionaire status you can dictate the health care policies and predict how many people will die.
The new normal is before us and all the roads lead to the gates and if you think after passing through the gates everything will be back to normal, congratulations, you have just earned yourself a Ph.D. in Sycophancy!
We lived in a world we did not care about others but then few of us have realized that the only way to survive is if we think as we and not me and you, even Facebook agrees, that’s why they added the care emoji.
We are fighting so many battles and we are not even aware of it because we are the meme generation and while we are at home we do not know that many things are changing hands a new sheriff in town is being ushered in due to corona, there is a corona – tion going on. While the economies of the world are in shambles, the rich are getting richer, they are buying companies when you are selling, after all this your life will be controlled by algorithms, if you use Uber, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, and now digital money your life is controlled by algorithms and that is the new normal.
While you are constantly reading news about COVID-19, your mind has been conditioned to see only COVID-19, the new rules that are being put to contain the virus will and are working right now, but the authorities will find the new use of those rules, they won’t let them go, they will love to know your location, your movements and just everything about, you and COVID-19 is the excuse (the old principle is still true – never let a good crisis go to waste) and you will realize that privacy was just an illusion.
I know your attention span is limited and after you scroll down that’s it, they know it too, and they have bogged you down with a lot of information through the mainstream media and like you are programmed you will not read the user agreement you will just agree to the Terms and Conditions for the new normal.
