Adil heaps praise on Mayor for restructuring Juba City

The Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has commended the Juba City Council Mayor Kalisto Lado for restructuring the city.

Adil made the statement during his inspectional visit to a site where a demolition exercise was taking place on Wednesday.

Governor Adil said the demolition exercise being conducted by Juba City Council was meant to standardize Juba to meet the status of a modern city.

“I thank you so much for your valuable advice, the Mayor and the deputy, and the entire team. Our coming here to Juba City for this short inspectional visit is to encourage the team,” he said.

Adil directed the mayor to double the efforts in keeping Juba City clean campaign to make it green and conducive for the inhabitants.

Mr. Adil urged Juba residents and the traders to support the mayor in his endeavor to keep Juba clean, saying it was a collective responsibility.

He said the public should cooperate with Mr. Lado and other authorities to improve the infrastructural development in the city.

On his part, Mayor Kalisto Lado promised to implement the directives of the Governor to ensure that Juba City fits among the world cities

“This is a great day for us, Juba City Council because our Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has come on an inspection visit.  We warmly welcome him and the high-level delegation as Juba City Council, we will implement the directives of the Governor in letter and spirit. Our mandate is to deliver services,” he stated.

On Tuesday, the Mayor laid a foundation stone for Jebel Mouna Zone and highway in Munuki Block Council under the theme, “services delivery and sustainable development to our people.”
